以Ray Brown (Bass)、Benny Green (Piano) 及 Gregory Hutchinson (Drums) 三重奏為主軸，分別與6位薩克斯風手，各合作2曲，最後6軌更是6位薩克斯風手分別與 Ray Brown 的簡短對談。
Ray Brown 提攜後輩不遺餘力，先後已與多位年輕樂手合作出過唱片，也就是因為有 Ray Brown，我才會將觸角伸到該位樂手的唱片，進而認識其他的樂手；他與Benny Green 合作過好幾張專輯，多半為在 Telarc 發行，是我唱片中的常聽盤之一，錄音效果相當忠實，沒有加油添醋的不平衡的感覺，未有誇張的音效。

不過這一張The Sax Players 是我最喜歡的，因為有 Ray Brown，我就會下手了，何況還有 Benny Green！再加上 Benny Carter，已經讓人無法不擁有了。
最喜歡的曲目當然是 Benny Carter 參與的這兩曲

第二喜歡我會選 Stanley Turrentine，音色略帶飽滿且有點溫濁，不會太嘹亮！
