Willie Smith ウィリー・スミス (1910~1967，アルト・サックス奏者)
第一次聽到 Willie Smith，是在台北的樂友家，從這張 Verve 不甚起眼的精選輯：
這邊要提到的唱片，當然是以 CD 為主！
Gitanes Jazz 系列 SAXOPHONE (Verve 841 446-2)
第5軌 Sophisticated Lady，1947.11 在 L.A. 的錄音，這曲錄音，是有很強的樂手

bass：Red Callender
drums：Jo Jones
guitar：Barney Kessel
，後來也可以在環球日本版 Jazz Scene，及盒裝版的 Jazz Scene 的第一張 CD 第6軌聽到，當然是以環球日本版的效果最佳。
不過後來聽，Verve 這類早期的合輯，轉錄水準極高，這張亦是，選曲更是一流的，若仍在市面上見到這張，是絕對不容錯過的。
他錄音最好的專輯，應該是這兩張
Rose Murphy：Not Cha Cha , But Chi Chi ( Verve POCJ-2663)
這張唱片尚有另外版本 UCCV-9209，1957.1.15、1957.1.22 的錄音。
Nat King Cole：After Midnight ( Capitol Jazz 7243 5 20087 2 8)
這張是我覺得最好聽的 Nat King Cole，Willie Smith 出現在第1、6、8、13、18軌，錄音時間是1956.9.14，另外 Harry Sweets Edison 出現在第2、5、12、14、17軌，不可不聽。說也奇怪，這張日本 SBJC 24bit 紙盒版 (TOCJ-9306) 的重製效果，比不上美版 20bit 的。
他掛名的專輯有這3張，都非常難找，很多時候搜尋，會把 Willie Smith 當作 Willie The Lion Smith 這位 Stride Piano 家：

這張 DSM 系列非常好聽，第3~6軌有 Willie Smith 的身影，1953.4.14 在 NY 的錄音，旦第1~2軌有好聽不得了的 Ben Webster，絕對不容錯過。
Swingin' Alto Sax 1946~1954 ( Audio Park APCD-6117)
第9軌也是 Sophisticated Lady，1947.11 在 L.A. 的錄音。
Billie Holiday 這套雙CD (Verve 849-434-2)
