去年8月行在 disk union 之行，購入
Shelly Manne：A Night On The Coast
這張參與的樂手相當吸引人，當初看到這張唱片，覺得是挖到寶了，因為這樣的陣容實在太強了，尤其第1-3軌有比較少在西海岸樂手出現的貝斯手 Ray Brown，第5軌還有 Irene Kral 的獻唱一曲 Forgettable，再怎麼樣？這樣的組合，實在不容錯過。

不過後來聽的時候，錄音比想像中還糟糕，感覺是風衣版的錄音，不過若找不到其他正版的錄音，這樣的選擇仍是可一窺樂手的風采，但唱片內頁完全沒有其他說明

唱片封面相當難尋得，出版的東東也很多很廣，若是未有一般較正常的音源（指正版、自 LP 轉錄）下，有這樣風衣版的錄音，也是個不錯的選擇，不過我比較希望內頁有點背景資料。
不過厲害的是 Moon Records 也有發行 LP，難道不是『風衣版』？
